Where Fitbod is the better pick
Fitbod plans every workout for you. It picks the exercises, sets and weights based on what you've done and how recovered each muscle is, so you never have to decide what to do next.
It also runs on Android, Apple Watch, Wear OS and Mac. LiftCamp is iPhone only for now.
Where LiftCamp is the better pick
Fitbod has no free version. After the 7-day trial, logging and new workouts need a subscription.
LiftCamp is free, and it takes a different approach. You follow one of 31 proven routines, so the same exercises come back each week and you can see yourself get stronger on them. Each exercise page tells you what weight to start with, what to watch for and what to swap in.
Logging, your full workout history and your PRs are free in LiftCamp and always will be.
Switching from Fitbod
LiftCamp imports your Fitbod history. Export your workouts from Fitbod as a CSV file, then open LiftCamp and go to Settings, then Your data, then Import workouts.
Your workouts and sets come across with their real dates, so your PRs, progress charts, strength levels and streak medals pick them up straight away. LiftCamp matches each exercise to its own library, and you choose a match or skip any it isn't sure about.
Importing is free and needs a free LiftCamp account. Routines don't come across, so pick one of LiftCamp's or save your own after your first workout. If you change your mind, you can remove imported workouts in Settings without touching anything you logged in LiftCamp.
Which one should you use?
If you want every session planned for you and the price fits your budget, Fitbod is good at that.
If you'd rather follow a set routine, learn the main lifts and keep your money, start with LiftCamp.
